There are several garments that everyone should have as a basic back up in their wardrobe no matter what their individual style and these can help see you through all of the seasons and provide a good foundation for setting up your very own fashion look. Here are the main fashion must haves for your wardrobe:
· Little Black Dress – the essential black cocktail dress is very versatile and by using accessories you can dress it up for special evening wear, or tone it down for smart formal wear, and a classic design will last forever if you look after it.
· Underwear – it is very important you have a range of quality, well fitted underwear as this can make all the difference to how all the rest of your clothes look, and you should have a good range of underwear that goes with everything in your wardrobe.
· Jackets – you should have a least one good lightweight jacket for the hotter months and also one warm winter jacket as well, and these should be smart enough to wear out in the evenings and for formal occasions. There is nothing worse then spending lots of money on a nice new outfit and then throwing a tatty old jacket over the top.
· High Heels – you ought to have at least one pair of comfortable high heel shoes in your wardrobe, as these will help to flatter your ankles and legs and create a sexy look for both skirts and trousers. Choose a neutral colour that will go with most outfits, and always try high-heeled shoes on before you buy them to make sure they are comfortable and you would be happy wearing them to walk and stand for short periods of time.
· Handbag – this is one accessory must have for any wardrobe, and most women have a least two or three handbags in their collection. Choose a smaller bag in a pretty design for evening wear, a shoulder bag in leather, canvas or some other durable material for everyday use and a tote bag design is also useful as an overnight bag or for carrying around books, magazines and other bulky personal belongings.
