There are a number of key fashions trends now in the shops for the winter season and these include jackets, padded shoulders and boyfriend shirts. Key colours are vibrant peacock blues, deep reds and gold and silver, and checks are also making a big comeback and are printed on shirts, bags, shirts and even shoes.
Leather is the big material of the season and you will find everything from handbags to skirts in the shops, and to make sure you have the latest look choose leather that is jazzed up with embellishments and also leather/fabric combos. If you like wearing jeans then darker dyes and subtle rips are very hot right now, and team these with killer heels and a leather biker jacket for a top seasonal look.
Jackets
Short tuxedo style jackets are big news this winter season, and you will find a wide variety of these across the main high street stores from luxurious velvet dinner jackets through to a lightweight day look with the sleeves partly rolled up. Leather biker jackets have also made a comeback and this season sees them embellished with lots of snazzy zips, sequins and buckles.
Padded Shoulders
Minimal padded shoulders are hot right now, and you can find padded t-shirts, jackets and dresses in most stores, which create definition for slim shoulders and create a subtle yet powerful look.
Boyfriend Shirts
The classic boyfriend shirt has also come back into fashion this winter and is being teamed with jeans and knitted cardigans for a comfortable, casual look and strong colours including lumberjack style checks are a key trend.
Leather
Leather is big this season so look out for plenty of leather skirts, jackets, bags, boots, belts and accessories all jazzed up with studs, buckles and zips.
